Aalto-Volley – Official volleyball club of Aalto University

The biggest, fairest, and media-sexiest volleyball club in Otaniemi, Aalto-Volley ry. (previously PUS-Volley), is the official volleyball club of Aalto University.

As a student organization, our aim is to provide student-affordable opportunities to play volleyball both casually and competitively. We host weekly trainings and playing sessions, our teams play in Southern Finland’s volleyball series, and we occasionally participate in other volleyball events, such as Viking Line Cup and Swamp Volley World Championship tournaments.

Aalto-Volley representatives for the SVU International Tournament (Mix High group) enjoyed an exciting weekend in Amsterdam 🇳🇱. Our team finished 2nd after two days of volleyball action. We had a ton of fun playing volleyball, exploring the city, and partying. We also made new volleyball friends from @cbsvolley_ 🇩🇰!

It was a fun-filled weekend in Tampere as some mem

It was a fun-filled weekend in Tampere as some members of Aalto-Volley participated in Lentopallon OSM-KISAT 2023 or the Finnish Student Championships in volleyball 🏐.

After Day 1 of the games, they enjoyed a sushi buffet, sang their hearts out in a karaoke bar, and strolled around the city at night. The tournament ended on a high note as the team swept their remaining games on Day 2. 🥳

Aalto-Volley's mixed team enjoyed the Erasmus Inte

Aalto-Volley's mixed team enjoyed the Erasmus International Tournament in Rotterdam. After we won the intermediate series on Saturday, the team managed to advance to the higher series, then to the quarter finals of the tournament!

Aside from playing, we also had time to see Rotterdam and Haag and were invited to participate again next year! ✈️🏐

3-0 loss (25-21, 25-15, 25-20) but getting closer to win 😉.
Probably, this was the last game of this year due to restrictions. We will be back with improvements and victories 💪

The first game of this season was a tough game against Vanle3. Unfortunately, 3-0 loss but a game giving hope for future ;).
Where we end the season is more important than how we start :). We will push it!

Great home game today against Tapanilan Erä ME wi

Great home game today against Tapanilan Erä ME with full five sets. Aalto took the first two sets, playing well and with confidence. Leevi presented couple of very nice aces, and our setter Tuomas made it very easy for the opposites and outside hitters to spike some points while the back field was also doing nice job.

In the third set, Erä really did found their fighting spirit. The opponent played very well and none of our attacks seemed to reach their field. As a result Erä finished the set with 7-25.

After being kicked in the ass, our guys started to get a grip on the game again in the fourth set. Erä was still a bit stronger, but Aalto improved their game as the set ended at 21-25.

The fifth set was a true thriller as the teams were killing the ball alternately point by point until 14-13, when Mikko finally spiked the winning point for Aalto-Volley and game end at 15-13. After all, a really good game which was a pleasure to play. Thanks to Tapanilan Erä for a good fight!
